We’re excited to share the latest update to EverWeb – version 4.3! This release brings new tools and improvements to make building your website easier and more flexible. With fresh new features such as new e-Commerce Widgets, text editing tools and interface improvements, EverWeb 4.3 continues to streamline website creation for both Mac and Windows users. 

Here’s a look at what’s new and what’s improved in this update.

New Features In EverWeb 4.3

1. New PayPal Modern Widget Now, EverWeb includes an upgraded PayPal widget that uses the latest PayPal button API, adding more options for how customers can pay you. This means you have more control and flexibility to offer various payment methods, making it easier for visitors to purchase products and services from your website. You can now offer Venmo payments in the US and local European and Australian payment methods including PayPal's pay later options.

2. Justified and Scrollable Text in Textboxes EverWeb 4.3 adds two helpful tools for textboxes: justified text alignment and scrollable text. With justified alignment, text can look cleaner and more professional, spreading evenly across the text box. For longer text, the scrollable text feature lets users read long content without taking up more space on the page.

3. Edit robots.txt and .htaccess Files Take more control of your site’s visibility with easy access to edit the robots.txt and .htaccess files right from the Site Settings. With robots.txt, you can provide more control over bots and which web pages to scan, while .htaccess gives you additional options to control site access and redirect traffic. This feature requires the SEO PowerUp Add-on to use.

4. Mini Icons for Layout and Settings To help keep things tidy, we’ve added mini icons for layout and settings buttons on the design canvas. These smaller icons make the design screen look cleaner and make it easier to find the settings you need without crowding your workspace.

5. QR Code for Mobile Preview Now you can quickly see how your website looks on a mobile device with a QR code. Simply scan the code, and your site opens on your phone or tablet, giving you a chance to spot-check the mobile view without extra steps. This new feature can be accessed from the Preview menu, just as you would preview your website in any web browser.

6. AI Bot Control For those who want to keep their content private, EverWeb 4.3 lets you prevent AI bots from scanning and indexing your website. This feature ensures your content stays within your audience’s reach only, if that’s what you prefer.

7. Drag & Drop Stock Photos Finding the right images is faster than ever! You can now drag and drop stock photos directly into the Inspector under Shape Options for Slide Shows. This makes it easier to add and preview different photos within your Image Slider.

8. Font Preview in Fonts menu on macOS Selecting fonts is now an easier experience. The font dropdown list in the Inspector now displays each font in its own style, so you get a visual preview them while choosing, saving time in finding the perfect look for your text.

9. Improved Mobile Pages: Mobile pages will properly have a canonical link for improved SEO performance

Fixes & Improvements

The EverWeb team has also tackled several issues, ensuring better performance and stability for both Mac and Windows users. Here are the important bug fixed in EverWeb 4.3:

• Windows Object Movement: We’ve fixed the issue that affected moving objects below the selected item on Windows, making design adjustments smoother.
• Animated GIFs: GIFs will now display as expected on published sites, making your pages livelier.
• Image Gallery Icons: The issue with icons not showing correctly when clicking images in galleries has been resolved, and pagination issues are now fixed.
• Blog Backslashes: Backslashes will now display as intended in blogs, keeping your posts formatted just the way you want.
• Image File Compatibility: Characters that could cause image loading issues are now automatically removed, ensuring better compatibility.
• Spell Checker: Fixed issues in the Windows spell checker, helping keep your text error-free.
• Improved Font Handling: Switching projects between Mac and Windows is now more seamless, preserving font settings for a consistent design experience.
